We may disclose information when required by law or when necessary to:

  • Comply with court orders or regulations
  • Protect our rights, property, or safety

Business Transfers

In the event of a merger, acquisition, or asset sale, your information may be transferred to the acquiring entity.

Use of Non-Personal Information

We use Non-Personal Information to improve our Services and analyze trends. We may also share aggregated, anonymized data with third parties for analytics and research purposes.

III. How We Protect Information

We implement strong security measures to protect your data, including:

  • 256-bit SSL encryption in transit
  • Encryption at rest for sensitive data
  • Regular security audits and vulnerability testing
  • Strict access controls and authentication

However, no system is 100% secure. By using our Services, you acknowledge and accept this risk.

IV. Artificial Intelligence and Automated Processing

Treasury uses artificial intelligence features powered by Google's Gemini API to categorize transactions, answer questions through our AI Advisor, and enable search over our finance knowledge base. This section describes what information is sent to our AI provider and how it is handled.

Transaction Categorization

When new transactions arrive in your account, we send transaction data to Gemini so it can be assigned to a budget category. Before this data leaves our systems, we scrub personal identifiers including full names, phone numbers, email addresses, account and routing numbers, card numbers, and peer-to-peer recipient names. What we send is limited to the cleaned merchant name, the transaction amount, and context such as your own prior categorizations for similar merchants.

AI Advisor

Our AI Advisor is a conversational assistant that answers questions about your finances. When you send a message, we transmit your question, selected profile details you have provided (such as income range, state of residence, age, and financial goals), and financial data the Advisor retrieves on your behalf (such as budgets, balances, and transactions) to Gemini in order to generate a response.

Conversations with the AI Advisor are stored in your Treasury account so you can review and continue them. You may request deletion of this history under Section V.

Knowledge Base Search

When you search our finance knowledge base, your search query is sent to Gemini to generate a numerical embedding used for semantic matching. No transaction, account, or profile data is included in these requests.

Training and Retention

Under Google's terms for the paid Gemini API, data transmitted through the API is not used to train or improve Google's generative AI models. Google may retain requests briefly for abuse monitoring and service reliability. Treasury does not use your data to train or fine-tune any model, and we do not sell or share AI inputs or outputs with third parties beyond the provider required to generate the response.

Human Review

Treasury does not routinely read the contents of AI Advisor conversations. We may review specific interactions only to investigate a bug you have reported, respond to a support request you send us, or comply with a legal obligation.

Your Choices

You may choose not to use the AI Advisor or the knowledge base search at any time. You can also turn off automatic transaction categorization in your settings, in which case no transaction data is sent to Gemini for categorization. If you have questions or concerns about AI processing of your information, contact us at privacy@treasury.sh.

  • Account Access: You may update, correct, or delete your account information at any time.
  • Communications: You may opt out of promotional emails by clicking "unsubscribe" or updating your settings.

VII. Third-Party Services and Links
