Copilot Money costs $109 a year at its current limited-time price (usually $119) or $18 a month, with a one-month free trial for new users. I checked its pricing page on November 5, 2026. When I checked on October 15, 2026, it was $95 a year or $13 a month. There is one plan and no free tier. I make Treasury, a competing app, so every Copilot figure here links to Copilot’s own pages.

Copilot Money’s price on November 5, 2026

Copilot sells one plan, billed monthly or yearly, and every subscriber gets the same features. Its pricing page lists $109 billed yearly “instead of $119” under a “limited time offer” label, and $18 billed monthly. The page does not say when the limited-time price ends.

The plan includes:

  • Connections to more than 16,000 banks.
  • Copilot’s money assistant.
  • Apps for iPhone, iPad and Mac, plus a web app.
  • Support from real people.
  • Partner invites, which the page lists as “coming this fall.”

Copilot’s own FAQ answers the free question directly: the app is not free, and new users get a one-month free trial. If you are still choosing a budgeting method, that matters more than the app, so start with how to budget before paying for any tool.

How much did Copilot Money’s price go up?

The yearly price is up $14 at the limited-time price and $24 at the usual price, and the monthly price is up $5. These figures compare two checks I made of Copilot’s pricing page, on October 15 and November 5, 2026. Percentages are rounded. I can’t date the change more precisely than that window, and Copilot has not published a date for it.

PlanOct 15Nov 5Change
Yearly, offer price$95$109+$14 (15%)
Yearly, usual price$95$119+$24 (25%)
Monthly$13$18+$5 (38%)

The monthly rise is the biggest in percentage terms. Twelve months on the monthly plan now cost $216, up from $156, which is $60 more over a year.

Monthly or yearly: what a year actually costs

Paying yearly costs about half as much as paying monthly for 12 months. Copilot’s page says “Save 49% by going yearly,” which matches the limited-time price.

Example: say you plan to use Copilot for a full year.

  • Monthly: 12 × $18 = $216.
  • Yearly at the limited-time price: $109, which saves $107, just under half.
  • Yearly at the usual price: $119, which saves $97 (about 45%).

The monthly plan still makes sense if you are not sure you will keep the app. Three months at $18 is $54, well under a yearly charge you may not use. If you already know you will stay, the yearly plan is the cheaper way to pay, and the limited-time price only matters if you buy before it ends.

Do existing subscribers pay the new price?

Not if their subscription has stayed active. Copilot’s subscription help article says it offers legacy pricing for uninterrupted subscriptions that started before a price change. People who let a subscription lapse lose it.

What that means in practice:

  • Check your plan. On iPhone, Copilot says to go to Settings, then Account, then Subscriptions, then Copilot, then See All Plans. If no legacy offer appears there, your account no longer qualifies.
  • Think before you cancel to save money. If you cancel and come back later, you pay the current price.
  • Billing route decides where you cancel. Subscriptions started in the iPhone, iPad or Mac App Store apps are billed by Apple. Subscriptions started on the web, or in the Mac app downloaded from Copilot’s site, are billed directly by Copilot.

If you decide to leave, my guide to cancelling subscriptions covers stopping App Store and direct renewals.

Free trial, referral codes and discounts

New users get one month free, and a referral code can extend it. Copilot’s help article on referral and gift codes says you enter the code when you start your free trial, and that it only works on a first trial. A gift code covers a gifted period instead, after which you are asked to subscribe.

Copilot’s pricing page lists no student plan, and I found no public promo code. The $109 yearly price is the only discount on the page.

Copilot’s price next to Monarch, Treasury and YNAB

Copilot now costs about the same per year as YNAB and more than Monarch’s Core plan, and its monthly plan is the most expensive of the four. The table uses each company’s own pricing page, checked November 5, 2026, in alphabetical order.

AppPer yearPer monthFree trial
Copilot Money$109 offer (usually $119)$181 month
Monarch Core$99.99$14.99First week
Treasury$95$12.9914 days
YNAB$109$14.9934 days

Sources: Copilot, Monarch, Treasury and YNAB. Prices are in U.S. dollars before tax. Monarch’s page says “Your first week is on us.” It also offers new users 30% off the first year of yearly Core with the code WELCOME, about $70, and YNAB’s 34-day trial applies when you sign up directly rather than through an app store.

Price is only one part of the choice. Copilot’s strength is its Apple apps, and one subscription covers iPhone, iPad, Mac and the web. If you are weighing it against Treasury specifically, Treasury vs Copilot compares features side by side. If the price rise is why you are looking, Copilot Money alternatives covers eight other apps, including ones with Android apps and free plans. For the wider field, see the budgeting apps guide.

Frequently asked questions

Is Copilot Money free?

No. Copilot Money has no free plan. It costs $109 a year at its limited-time price (usually $119) or $18 a month, and new users get a one-month free trial first.

Does Copilot Money have a free trial?

Yes. New users get a one-month free trial, according to Copilot’s FAQ. A referral code entered when you start the trial can extend it, but only on your first trial.

Is there a Copilot Money discount or promo code?

On November 5, 2026, the only discount Copilot listed was the limited-time yearly price of $109, down from the usual $119. Referral codes extend the free trial rather than lower the price, and I found no student plan.

Did Copilot Money raise its price?

Yes. When I checked on October 15, 2026, Copilot cost $95 a year or $13 a month. On November 5, 2026 it cost $109 a year at a limited-time price (usually $119) or $18 a month. Copilot has not published the date of the change.

Will my Copilot price go up if I already subscribe?

Not while your subscription stays active. Copilot says subscribers who started before a price change keep legacy pricing as long as the subscription is uninterrupted. If it lapses, you pay the current price when you return.

What is a cheaper alternative to Copilot Money?

It depends on what you use Copilot for. Monarch Core costs $99.99 a year, and Copilot Money alternatives lists eight options by price and platform, free ones included. If you mainly use Copilot on iPhone, iPad or Mac, try a replacement’s apps during its trial before you switch.
