Plans, trial and billing
Treasury is one membership, paid monthly or yearly after a 14-day free trial, that you manage or cancel in Settings → Subscription or the App Store.
Updated
Plans and the free trial
Treasury has one membership with every feature. You choose how to pay for it:
- Monthly: $12.99 a month.
- Annual: $95 a year, about $7.92 a month.
These are the US dollar prices for paying on the web. The App Store sets its own price. See treasury.sh/pricing for current web prices.
New members get the first 14 days free. You pay $0 when you start. Billing starts automatically when the trial ends, unless you cancel before then. If you’ve had a Treasury membership before, there’s no free trial.
Subscribe on the web or iPhone
Treasury asks you to choose a plan at the end of setup.
- Choose Annual or Monthly.
- Select Start my 14-day free trial. Treasury opens a secure checkout run by Polar, its payment provider.
- When checkout is done, select Open my Treasury.
On iPhone, the checkout opens in Safari. When it’s done, select Open Treasury to go back to the app.
The iPhone app also offers or continue with in app purchase, which bills you through the App Store. The App Store offers the annual plan only, and shows its price before you confirm.
See your plan and renewal date
Settings → Subscription shows your membership, its price and your plan. Under Billing period it shows the date your plan Renews, your Trial ends, or it Ends.
- If you pay on the web, select Manage subscription to update your card or cancel. Billing history shows your invoices. Both open Polar’s billing page.
- If you pay through the App Store, select Manage in App Store.
If you subscribed through the App Store and Treasury doesn’t show it, select Restore Purchases in the iPhone app. It sits under the plan choices.
Cancel your membership or trial
You can cancel your Treasury membership or free trial at any time. If you pay on the web:
- Open Settings → Subscription and select Manage subscription.
- Cancel your subscription on Polar’s billing page.
You keep Treasury until the end of the period you paid for, or until your trial ends. If you cancel during the trial, you aren’t charged. Settings → Subscription shows the end date. To change your mind, select Uncancel and turn renewal back on in Polar’s billing page.
If you pay through the App Store, cancel in your iPhone’s Settings → [your name] → Subscriptions. In Settings → Subscription, Manage in App Store opens the same page.
Deleting the Treasury app doesn’t cancel any subscription. Deleting your Treasury account cancels a web subscription straight away, but not an App Store one.
Refunds and charges
Polar bills web memberships for Treasury, so charges show as Polar on your statement. Treasury doesn’t give partial refunds when you cancel. You keep access until the period you paid for ends. If you delete your account, a web membership ends at once, and the unused time isn’t refunded.
For a question about a web charge, contact support. Apple handles App Store charges, so request an App Store refund from Apple. Treasury can’t refund App Store purchases. If Apple refunds one, Treasury ends the membership it paid for.
If a payment fails
Settings → Subscription shows Payment failed and Payment overdue when a renewal doesn’t go through.
- If you pay on the web, select Update payment and add a working card. You keep Treasury for 7 days while you fix it.
- If you pay through the App Store, select Manage and update your payment in Apple’s settings. Treasury closes straight away, even while Apple retries, and opens again once Apple charges you.
If your membership has ended
When a membership ends, Treasury opens Settings → Subscription and shows Pick up where you left off. Your accounts and history are still there.
- Choose Annual or Monthly.
- Select Resubscribe, which shows the plan’s price, and complete checkout.
A returning member pays from the start, without a free trial.
