Find what’s waiting for review

The Review page lists recurring payments Treasury detected but you haven’t confirmed yet. To open it, select Review (the inbox icon) at the top of Recurring. Its number counts the items waiting.

You can also select Review on the “new recurring transactions detected” banner in Recurring. Dismiss hides the banner until you next open the page. If Recurring has nothing tracked yet, select Review queue.

The Inbox tab lists two kinds of item:

  • New detections are repeating payments from your connected banks that don’t have a category yet.
  • Possibly inactive items are tracked payments that seem to have stopped. See If a subscription stopped.

New detections don’t count in your recurring totals or calendar until you add them. Possibly inactive items are already tracked, so they keep counting in your totals until you pause or end them. Bills Treasury finds in the first 24 hours after you sign up are added to Recurring without review.

Add a detected item to Recurring

  1. In Recurring → Review, select an item under Inbox.
  2. Check the Category and the Next Expected date. A Suggested badge marks the category Treasury picked from your past transactions.
  3. Select Add to Recurring. The item is now Active in Recurring, on its calendar and in its totals.

To change the name or billing cycle first, select Edit all details. Change the Name, Billing Cycle, Category, Amount or Next Expected Date, then select Save & Add. The next charge from your bank can replace the amount, and the account comes from your bank.

Category is optional. If you leave it empty, Treasury may use the category the item’s payments all share.

Mark a detection Not recurring

Use Not recurring for a detection that isn’t a bill, subscription or paycheck, such as a few similar shop visits.

  1. In Recurring → Review, select the item.
  2. Select Not recurring.

Treasury remembers the decision and won’t suggest the same pattern again. The item moves to the Inactive tab. Your transactions don’t change.

See ended and dismissed items

The Inactive tab in Recurring → Review lists ended items and dismissed detections. Each shows why:

  • Ended: you selected Mark ended, or your bank reported the series ended. Its history is kept.
  • Not recurring: you dismissed it as a detection.
  • Inactive: it was dismissed before Treasury recorded a reason.

Activity resumed means a new charge matched an ended item. Paused items aren’t listed here: they stay in Recurring, where you can resume them.

Restore an ended or dismissed item

You can bring back any item on the Inactive tab, including one marked Not recurring.

  1. In Recurring → Review, select the Inactive tab.
  2. Select the item, then select Restore.

The item is Active again, with the same name, amount, category, dates and linked payments. It returns to your totals and calendar.

If the payments stopped long ago, the restored item may show as Possibly inactive. Select Still active and pick its next date, as in If a subscription stopped.

To remove an inactive item instead, select Delete and reset, then Delete and reset again to confirm. Treasury may detect the same pattern again later.

If a bill isn’t in the Inbox

The Inbox only shows detections that don’t have a category yet. A detection that already has one appears in Recurring with a Suggested badge instead.

A new subscription may not appear until it has charged a few times. See how Treasury finds bills. For a bill it hasn’t found, add it yourself.
